i’m developing a fondness for elizabeth taylor

Especially now that i’ve seen her perform in Boom, a film written by Tennessee Williams, whom i adore.

The angel of death visits the richest woman in the world, a five-time widow on her craggy cliff.  She refuses to feed him.

i adore her smoky eyes, her pristine white lace blouse as dangerous as the lacy white ocean waves crashing.  Boom.

This film has it all: melodrama, beauty, glamour, dark humor, and mythic allusion.  Elizabeth Taylor.
